[JP] White Horse

It’s important to understand, Rotti loved him.

In ways, he’d even say he loved him more then Marni. He would have given Marni the world; but Nathan was getting his name. Everything Rotti had built; with blood and dirt clawing out inches from rich white folk and better men (so-called), everything he had stolen from them and made his own. The world was filled up with Osborns, Luthors, Waynes and Starks; men who had fashioned some little corner of the globe and humanity in their image but Rotti had done something different at least in his own mind. He didn’t just bring the world under his name; he remade it in his image. He became God in every way that matter.

And Nathan was supposed to be his son.

This ain't Hollywood, this is a small town I was a dreamer before you went and let me down Now it's too late for you and your white horse, to come around And there you are on your knees Begging for forgiveness, begging for me Just like I always wanted but I'm so sorry... )

[JP] Ten things you'd do if money or time were not an issue.

1. I would build my own opera house in the center of the time and make all those who are and want to be pay through their teeth to get in. It’ll have the best singers in the world, and play only the most beautiful of songs.

2. Buy a great big house in the middle of the town. Drive there every day in a big limo while people watch in envy. Fill it with antiques, the kind you see in museums or the big houses in Manhattan.

3. Let the air conditioning blow all summer, and the heater blaze all winter. Have matching silverware, table linens for special occasions, and guest bedrooms made up in a hall of my house where everyone I love will stay and never leave.

4. Find out who my parents are; not just their names, jobs and what they looked like. Who they were. Really. Show them everything they abandoned.

5. Make sure everyone knows my name.

6. Change the world.

7. Own at least four homes; and an island off the coast of Italy. Just because I can. I want to be the sort of man Presidents rise to greet.

8. Get back at everyone who said I’d end up being nothing, and burying everyone who tried to bury me first. Bonus points if I make it look like someone else did it.

9. Rewrite where I come from, and define where I’m going.

10. Make sure when I die, I am worth more then some cheap collection of baubles and trinkets. My name and legacy is going to be remembered for years after I am gone. Hell not, let there be statues. Everyone will know what I’m worth then. Down to the penny.

*smirks* But really, who ever gets to do the things they say they'll do?

Now with text! Please specify what verse, thanks!

The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. You can even ask more than one something because I am at heart a generous person. :)

Ask away.

OOC: For [livejournal.com profile] foronenightonly

Rotti Largo wishes he could recall some story here because it would work so well. People like stories, after all, because things are settled in stories. There is endings in stories, and romantic interludes, tragic ironies, but most of all a sense of order. Justice. People like absolution and in real life, so few things are so easily described. So he wishes he could think about something his father told him perhaps; or an uncle because that would work just as well. He sells absolution; and half of the story is the setting.

So it would have to be man, invoking one of those little rules people don’t like to talk about, someone distant and honest in that terribly common and unremarkable way. He had to be a tradesman too, because the story has to fit the moral, someone who worked honest and hard at his plight. He lived in some nowhere village in Italy, all romantic like, and Rotti would idolize him. Rotti likes the idea of a carpenter so this man is a simple man and the things he creates with his hands is art of a kind, even if no one sees it. He takes pride in what he makes with his hands because it’s good and solid. But of course it takes time, and mending.

It's a long long way to the promised land So try where you are, do what you can You belong to what you understand So teach yourself how to demand the monument that you deserve For rising up in a beaten down world Aren't you going to come along? Aren't you going to fight? Aren't you going to hold your hands up to the light? If you feel an emptiness, if you want to hide Think about the blood that's pumping keeping you alive… )

OOC:

Hey bellas, just dropping a quick line to say I'm going to be really rare till Friday. Real life is kicking my ass royally.

I didn't want to hold the game up anymore then I've already have so:

In [livejournal.com profile] foronenightonly

It's safe to assume that the Repo comm lines are up now, and I had planned that four NPC Repo were killed during this wave of the riots, and one in critical condition. Martial law will probably be declared again? GeneCo will of course deny any rumor that Repo Men were killed. Jack is in an undisclosed location, and since I won't be around- it's safe to assume that Nathan himself is MIA or something similar?

In [livejournal.com profile] camelotdays
Rotti lets Giada come home, although she is at the mercy of a small army of private nurses. And, Nathan is still basically camping out at the hospital trying to find her cure.

Sorry about the fuck up on my part and I'll be back as soon as I can! If any of my SLEW of other muses (or Nate and Rotti themselves) are needed and where- feel free to ping me here or through PM, so I can be aware?

Sorry again.

What is truth?

1 question...
1 chance...
1 honest answer...

That's all you get. Ask me one question. Any one question, anything, no matter how crazy it is. An honest answer. No catch.

All comments will be screened so your question stays private between you and me, and only you will get to see my answer to your question.

To hell with snuggles- give me smut.

If you want to have your pup have some sort of sexual relations with mine, comment here! I'll write a drabble makin' it happen! Cause sex + drinking = ALWAYS GOOD. Okay, not always good. But in my imagination there are no alcoholic side effects.

Oh okay fine-

Thus: The Snuggle Meme. Because everyone can use a snuggle now and again.

If your muse has ever wanted a good snuggle/cuddle/hug with my muse, comment here.

For both memes
I'll write at least 250 words with the pairing.

Every fic is to be considered just that, fanfiction, and not actually RP history. You're welcome to leave any sort of suggestions for the fics you want, be it genre, a prompt or scenario. Things can be platonic or romantic, just let me know which one you’d prefer.

Comment to one, both and please ask for a specific verse.

[Locked to Repo Men, crews and who else would know]

Team, please welcome

Repo Man 833-459, call sign “Halo”

He'll be assisting in Repo's absence, and during Iceman's sabbatical. I know Repo's practice is to have a more senior member shadow the newer one so- and I beg Lion's forgiveness for this- Saucy Jack, you were trained by Repo himself; if you would be so kind as to show Halo the department.

I trust you all to support and welcome the newest member, and here's to many successful and fruitful years together.

Ten Memories that make you hurt

One
The Prima Donna was 76 when she died, spoke mostly Italian and what little English she knew were curse words or name brands. She had been a small thing in life and a collection of bones and dried paper white skin in death. They carried her out of the apartment building one night in February when the temperature had dropped and Rotti had to work late so he didn't check on her.

He went into the apartment when the creditors came and Rotti watched as a woman's life was sold piecemeal to people off the street. Old vinyls of Operas (her lifeblood) sold for pocket change, while clothing thin and old became crumpled dollar bills right before his eyes. Everything that could have value was sold: from the mismatched glasses in the kitchen, to the old Singer in her parlor.

No one bought the broken fans from a theater performance long ago, or paid any attention to the photographs of a beautiful woman, who's honey-colored eyes danced and who's mouth was forever frozen in a silent note.

At the end of the day, Rottisimo Largo asked how much a woman's life was worth to the man counting out the money. The old man looked annoyed and gave him a number just shy of three grand. The sixteen year old nodded, and walked out.

It's how Rotti said goodbye.

It's you that I adore. You will always be my whore You'll be a mother to my child And a child to my heart. We must never be apart, We must never be apart...And I'll pull crooked teeth You'll be perfect just like me You'll be a lover in bed And a gun to my head... )

Open to all Repo Men and cleaning crews

[OOC: Since this, this, and this are mun knowledge. Have this!]

Repo Man 046-653, call sign "Repo" has been temporarily removed from active duty. Assignments will now be handled by E-27635, called 'Lionheart.' I trust the LA team will make every effort to make him feel welcomed. Don't worry, again this is only temporarily, Repo will back as soon as he recovers from his current illness. He still has his status and access to comm line.

Any questions?

Nathan-

Your new assignment. Given the current atomsphere of the city, this should be handled with the utmost care and quickness. I want it done tonight. I trust you to remember our agreement and retrieve GeneCo property without delay.

And Nate?

Merry Christmas, son.

Everybody! Everybody! Par-tay!

The Largo Compound is bejeweled in the crimson and green. There are servers and waiters that make their way through the rooms and patios, the private Zoo and the pools. Everywhere there is music from string quartets and (although Rotti is loathed to admit it) DJ's. The indoor pool is open, as is the ballrooms for any who would want to dance. Every food and drink imaginable is present on the serving trays.

And because this is a GeneCo party where anything goes: if you look hard enough there are darkened rooms where little glass vials (pure, not synthetic) are freely given. There's a even a row of SurGens and Genterns waiting for make you just as pretty as your outfit.

Rotti himself has found solace in the ante-room, off the main ballroom. There will be a constant glass in his hand although it's unsure how many people will really notice that he never takes a drink. There's going to be way too much to see.

[Post is open to anyone and everyone who would be there in pre!canon- the home is the Hearst Castle. There are 56 bedrooms, and a private airstrip (among other things)- have fun!]

Following this

[Secure message to Nathan Wallace, from Rotti Largo]

In the event of riot, all GeneCo medical centers and personnels are to shut down. No one caught up in these troubles will be treated and security has orders to shoot on sight. The costs of the last series of riots were astronomical, and little good for the company was gleaned from it. Again, order all SurGens, and nurses to stay off the streets.

Repossessions will continue despite social unrest.

-Largo out.

Article in Face! Magazine...

[Los Angeles]

It looks like the holidays are in full swing at Sanitarium Square as decorators and catering teams have arrived for for the Largo's annual Christmas Party. The who's who of every field from the business elites, the Hollywood darlings even to Washington finest will be on hand to rub elbows with each other and Rotti Largo himself.

Although the exact guest list is kept under lock and key, sources within the Largo compound maintain at least four crown heads, the President, Edward Ashford of bioengineering company Umbrella Corporation and Ozawa Tama of Japan's leading surgical equipment company Phoenix Corporation will be in attendance. Other rumored guests include Senator Blake, and his wife Charlotte; fueling rumors that GeneCo has now begun to turn it's attention towards politics; a claim Rotti Largo laughs off.

Largo, known somewhat infamously for giving lavish and eventful affairs, is expected to use the evening to make a major announcement although industry insiders are hesitant to guess: favorites include a marriage announcement to sweetheart Marni Frazer (daughter of Senator Frazer), or the appointment of a new chief operating officer. GeneCo has been without a COO since Michael Parsons was killed in a mugging outside his Rhode Island home, and has left Rotti Largo without a right hand man.

Highlights of this year's event will include a small performance by Blind Mag and in an interesting turn of events, the proceeds from the dinner will go to several charities selected by the Largo family doctor Nathan Wallace. Security will be on hand to avoid another incident like last year's gate crashing... [cont page four]

OOC: So me and a few other muns were talking (you'll notice bad ideas start like that) and for any of those who have pre!canon muses (or muses that would be around during that time) who want to have a little fun- I'm going to be throwing up a post for Rotti's Christmas party. Any and all muses (especially those named...) are welcome to attend or gate crash and I promise no one will end up dead.

Hopefully.

Just a brief character sketch of Nathan and Rotti's dynamic together since I haven't explored it. A gift for a friend.

He gives his children everything.

There's some part of him that knows it might be a mistake; that if they don't have boundaries, they'll never learn to overcome them and if they fall and he helps them every time, they won't ever pick themselves up. He knows that never saying 'no' and that changing into everyone else's into 'yes' won't help in the end. But he does it anyways..

Rotti Largo heard the word no too many times to ever allow his children to hear it. Not from his lips, not from the world's.

He is the most powerful man in the world. What good is that power if he cannot build a legacy on it; a dynasty?

And the man before him is just as much his child as the ones who's genes he shares.

Didn't I build a house, a home? )

[JP] 10 Quirks

1. Everything is a competition to Rotti. Everything. He’s known to take vegetarians to steak houses and serve ham to Rabbis and Imans just to see if they’re really going to tell him no. (They rarely do.)

2. He visits all three of his ex-wives regularly; two are in the cemetery and one is in a home for the mentally ill. He also visits Marni.

3. The sound of a woman singing Nessun Dorma is his first clear memory and the way Blind Mag sings it brings him to tears every single time.

4. He wanted to be an opera singer as a small child. It’s what causes him to encourage Amber to pursue it.

5. He might be the smallest bit afraid of doctors. Nathan was the only man he ever allowed to place him under the knife. There are times when he’s ill and Nathan will suggest a treatment; a briefest flash of something like an old friendship. He makes sure the man is promptly punished for his behavior.

6. He keeps his most hated enemies nearest to him: his children, Nathan…

7. He has nightmares; when he has them he paces the halls of his mansion to check on his children and calls on that dear Doctor, as if to be reassured they are properly cowed.

8. He is a man of strong emotions: he does not hide disgust, happiness or sadness. Most powerful men cannot say the same thing.

9. Every night at two A.M he sits alone in the kitchens to have a prosciutto and fig sandwich. He goes over business reports and the newspapers then.

10. He counts the beats in his head when he’s speaking, regardless if in conversations or before crowds; he imagines it’s a great deal like singing.

Press statement

I have come before you today to address the grievous actions cowardly individuals of our community have unleashed in the past week. The harmony of our city has been shattered by the acts of delinquent and unhappy souls and lead to the deaths of 42 innocent civilians, another 26 missing and over twenty-three hundred injured. These loses are much too high and I stand in solidarity with my fellow citizens in mourning as readily as I stand as the head of GeneCo and beg for peace.

I have been in communication with Ms. Anna Drew of our public relationships department ensuring that our air channels are secure, as well as members of our security teams and the excellent police and other first responders of our city to ensure that those who are in need of help receive it in a timely and effective manner.

Understand; an attack against GeneCo is an attack against our way of life. I know that there are those of the community who believe that our company and our success have somehow caused this terrible plight. I stand here today as a father, as your friend and assure you that is not the case. GeneCo has only ever tried to provide desperately needed, life changing help to those who require it. We do not offer charity. We seek to provide a means for people to help themselves and we have been very blessed to be of service all these years.

Now, as for the issue of Repossessions…I feel the need to come before today and express outrage over the violation of the patient’s rights and the security of my employees by such a desperate person as this so-called Tokyo Rose. Our Repossession teams are highly skilled, highly trained physicians who make every effort to ensure their job is completed timely, efficiently and most of all, humanely. I’ve been in contact with the head of the department- code name Repo- and he assures me that his men do not act in the way the video released would hope to portray them. I have the best forensic and video specialists in the world looking over the footage and preliminary reports assure me this is a forgery, clearly meant to incite the public.

I beg of you, do not let these terrorists win. GeneCo has always been a family business; and the dignity and respect for our patients have always been our highest concern. We will not allow such acts to tarnish our name. Rest assured those who are responsible for throwing our city into this ugly and vicious attack will pay for it. I will protect my people and my community by any means at my disposal.

Thank you, and goodnight.
